Works to help people in their 20's and 30's become better immersed in the life of the Catholic church and in this way become connected to others who share similar values. Participants are assisted in reconnecting to a parish. They also experience liturgies and share social activities. Staff works to help participants become aware of the social justice teachings of the church which encourage them to volunteer in the community. Ministry activities include retreats, and an annual conference. Works to help parishes become young adult-friendly.
Offers nonprofit agencies the opportunity to partner with Greater Cleveland Volunteers to receive the services of volunteers. Recruits and refers volunteers to partner agencies. May also provide consultation on best practices in volunteer management, such as how to retain and manage volunteers.
DCRC provides vocational support services in a variety of ways. For those enrolled in OOD, DCRC can provide skills training to help get a job or a better job. Consumers can learn how to write an effective resume, fill out applications, and practice interview skills. DCRC will advocate for support services and teach consumers to advocate for their needs. Once the consumer has a job, DCRC can provide on-the-job support through the training and orientation period. DCRC also has general educational workshops related to vocational development open to all.
