Prospective board members (volunteers) are referred to a nonprofit or public agency based on the volunteer's interests and qualifications and agency need. Nonprofit or public leadership and the prospective volunteer interview each other and election to the board occurs if it is an appropriate fit. Prospective board members receive training on the roles and responsibilities of serving on a board. In addition, the Agency offers Board consulting and training services.
The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Benefits Line provides consumers to access information regarding their Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Ohio Works First (OWF) benefits. Consumers may call the number at anytime for a brief summary of their benefit status, before hearing options to speak with an agent if necessary.
