The Clark County Combined Health District has a Public Information Officer who distributes information to the media and community in times of disaster. Winter storm advisories may also include safety instructions for people who are in immediate peril.

Provides law enforcement for Richland County in several different Bureaus/Sections. The Uniform Bureau is responsible for enforcing the criminal and traffic laws of the State of Ohio. Allied Special Operation Response Team (ASORT), being a highly-trained group of officers from different departments in Richland County, works as a team to neutralize a threat (hostage/barricaded subjects, raids, rescues, hazardous search warrants, security for dignitaries, suicides, stakeouts, etc.). The Major Crimes Section follows up on potentially long term felony investigations. There is also a K-9 Unit, Dive Team, Mounted Unit and Specials Unit. Winter Storm Advisories are declared by the Sheriff's office.
