Winter storm advisories may also include safety instructions for people who are in immediate peril.

The Major Crimes Section follows up on potentially long term felony investigations. There is also a K-9 Unit, Dive Team, Mounted Unit and Specials Unit. Winter Storm Advisories are declared by the Sheriff's office.
