SNOW LEVEL EMERGENCIES | CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Issue bulletins to warn the public of impending blizzards, heavy snows, ice storms, freezing rain, sleet or other winter storms. Winter storm watches indicate that severe winter weather may affect a particular area. Winter storm warnings indicate that severe winter weather conditions may be on the way. Blizzard warnings mean that large amounts of falling or blowing snow, sustained winds of least 35 miles per hour and severely limited visibility are expected for several hours. Winter storm advisories may also include safety instructions for people who are in immediate peril.
