Provides disaster response coordination and disaster preparedness training in the state of Ohio and surrounding areas.

Coordinates and trains local teams who wish to help in response to local disasters. Type of activities will vary depending on the situation. In some cases, individuals may be referred to existing organizations or teams who have been mobilized to deal with a variety of emergencies or disasters.

Trained individuals that are prepared to respond to both natural and man-made disasters. CERT educates the community about disaster preparedness CERT is a 20 hour course designed to teach citizens how to take care of themselves and their neighbors for 72 hours (3 days). Teaches basic first aid, fire suppression, search and rescue, and preparedness. With this course, citizens can be part of the County Team to help people after disasters and assist emergency responders.

Emergency disaster mobile canteens respond to local emergencies and calls from fire, police, disaster, civil defense and other groups.

Provides a 24-hour informational hotline featuring recorded messages which address the community's concerns about local or national disasters. Options are given on how to obtain information on how households and businesses can protect themselves against known disaster issues and on how to get specific questions answered by appropriate agency personnel.
