Provides basic emergency sewer maintenance for the Village of Mayfield. For cases of basement flooding, agency will direct caller to the appropriate resource who handles blockages in storm lines (for example, street sewers) or sanitary lines (for example, sewers from the curb to the house).

Provides year-round drug disposal through a vault that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Accepts: Prescription and over the counter tablets, capsules and liquid dosage. Intravenous solutions, injectables and needles. We DO NOT accept: Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine. Containers: You may leave medications in original containers, but it is not necessary. Personal information: This program is free and anonymous. Personal information will be cut off the original containers and destroyed.

Provides a collection center for Lorain County residents and businesses to properly and safely recycle or dispose of materials including household hazardous waste; scrap tires (listed separately); batteries; fluorescent bulbs and ballasts; electronic scrap; and old books as well as "curbside" recyclables including steel/bimetal cans; aluminum cans; glass bottles and jars; plastic bottles, jugs, and tubs. Offers information about methods for recycling other items such as appliances.

Provides water and sewer to the City of Bedford (obtains the water from Cleveland.) Provides discounted service based on income eligibility for those age 65 or older or 100% totally and permanently disabled and own and occupy the home. The Service Department will snake out the sanitary sewer from the house to the street providing a proper cleanout is installed outside the house.

Operate county jail, service all county courts, patrol unincorporated areas of Mahoning County, serve papers/evictions, task force.

Hosts an Electronics Recycle Program in an effort to reduce the volume of electronics going into landfills. - Items accepted for free includes electronics and accessories items such as: - Desktop or laptop computers. - Printers. - Cell phones and mobile devices. - Telephones and phone systems. - Modems, routers, and servers. - DVD players, VCRs, and stereos. - Game consoles and radios. - Cables, wires, and power adapters. - Ink and toner cartridges. - Anything that plugs in or uses batteries. - Computer monitors. - Televisions. - Fee for CRT televisions and CRT computer monitors. - Will also have a hard drive shredder on site. NOTE: Event is in partnership with Summit e-Waste Recycling Solutions.

Provides for the collection and safe disposal of "sharps" including syringes, needles with attached tubing, lancets, and other materials that have been used by individuals with serious health conditions such as diabetes who manage their care at home.

Responds to inquiries concerning the disposal of medical waste (syringes, blood products etc.)

Provides or coordinates recycling, large item pickup, and trash collection services. Removes and disposes of dead animals.

Recycles Christmas trees following the Christmas season by grinding them up and using them as compost and mulch.

Provides maintenance of all city streets, traffic signs, and street lights including snow removal. Will pick up dead animals that are on the street or curb (will not pick up from private property).
