Springfield Promise Neighborhood builds assets in adults, youth, and in the community. Our summer and after school activities connect youth with mentors and with effective, evidence-based approaches to foster resilience in youth and help them practice the tools to be good people, make good choices, and give back to others. Our family engagement opportunities bring parents together frequently to promote positive parenting and build the skills necessary to be good citizens and neighbors. Our community development activities and multiple partnerships address the need for good nutrition and healthy activity, while providing the neighborhood a safe place to gather in a 1 acre urban community garden.
