Varies as requested mainly M-F: 9:00am-5:00pm.

Call to arrange for a presentation or to inquire about meetings of homeless group. May also fill out a request form online. Ideally a 3-week lead time is requested.

No fee for outreach.

Description

Works to coordinate planning to address the problem of homelessness, and studies proposed solutions, including recommendations of outreach workers and the homeless themselves. Available to make presentations to community groups regarding homelessness, often with a homeless or formerly homeless person participating in the presentation. Hosts regular meetings with homeless people to inform advocacy position. Publishes regular updates on public policy issues.

Functions as a body of homeless and formerly homeless persons, public, private and nonprofit organizations, and individuals whose goal is to organize and empower homeless and at-risk persons through public education, advocacy, and the promotion of nurturing environments. The goal of the organization is to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
