Serves as a Community Development Entity (CDE) managed by the Development Finance Authority of Summit County. Enables New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) investments that target eligible economically distressed communities throughout an 18-county area of Northeast Ohio. As a CDE, the Development Fund of The Western Reserve may apply for and receive authority from the U.S. Treasury to allocate NMTCs for use in eligible projects.
Provides loans (below market rate interest) to purchase, rehabilitate, or construct commercial properties. Provides equipment and working capital loans for industrial and commercial development projects. Assists in the assembly of land parcels for industrial and commercial development (city of Dayton only).
