The Trail Walkers program,meets on Thursdays at 10:00, 9:00 am for the summer months, and highlights the multi-purpose trail system to promote fitness, fellowship and fun. Other activities such as golf, swimming, tennis, and special events take place at the many different parks in the county. The parks also provide areas for picnics, fishing, ice skating, horseshoes, playgrounds, athletic events and special event concerts and shuffleboard. Maintains the park as part of the Ohio & Erie National Heritage Canalway with access to the popular Towpath Trail and the Ohio & Erie Canalway Byway. Oversees the entire Cascade Locks Historic District which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Department of the Interior in 1992. 60 acres of parkland including the Lexington Community Park on Plymouth Street, Patriot Park also located on Plymouth Street, Bicentennial Park on Lex-Ontario Road and Davidson Park on Cedarwood Drive.
