Maintains the historic area spans Locks 10 to Lock 16 of the Ohio & Erie Canal. Maintains the park as part of the Ohio & Erie National Heritage Canalway with access to the popular Towpath Trail and the Ohio & Erie Canalway Byway. Oversees the entire Cascade Locks Historic District which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Department of the Interior in 1992. Provides informative tours for groups all year, even during the off season.
