Services That Assist Richland Seniors (STARS) provides in-home services and community access services and supports with funding made available through the Richland County Senior Services Levy.

Provides housekeeping assistance.

Provides limited light housekeeping for seniors who are no longer able to maintain a clean, safe environment. Services include kitchen and bathroom cleaning, light dusting, vacuuming, etc.

Provides home health care which includes medication management and reminders, personal care and bathing assistance, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, errands and light housekeeping and laundry.

Provides services which are designed to help with light housekeeping needs including: Washing dishes; Sweeping and mopping floors; Dusting; Making beds; Laundry assistance; Cleaning inside windows; Cleaning bathrooms.

Custodial and Lawn Care Services with a focus on customer satisfaction. Services include: - General office cleaning - Trash removal - Floor maintenance - Restroom cleaning and sanitizing - Carpet care - Construction cleanup - Lawn care for commercial and residential.

Provides personal care services that combine a variety of health care and custodial care services in the home; some services include bathing, dressing, meal preparation, laundry, homemaker duties, errands, all aspects of personal care, and companion and support services; also may include nursing services, such as medication set-up, medication reminders and medical assessments.

Helping senior citizens remain independent in their own homes, thus reducing the need for nursing home care for many people. Assistance is given to persons living in their own homes with no able-bodied person to help them with personal care or with care and upkeep of the inside of their homes. Program is designed to help homebound persons remain independent and to assure a better quality of life. Will help with your heavy cleaning jobs such as flipping mattresses, moving furniture, washing walls, and/or woodwork. We can also move stoves and refrigerators to clean, wash kitchen cupboards, clean out closets, basements, attic, or garages, and minor repairs.

Professional cleaning services donate two free cleanings to cancer patients in their community.

Provides homemaker assistance with typical household cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry for older adults.

Offers assistance with light housekeeping chores. Will be offering necessary household cleaning supplies to help clients older adults maintain safe and healthy living environments.

Offers help with cleanings to cancer patients in treatment. Cleaning services offer 2 free cleanings to patients who apply. Cleaning services are offered nationwide and also in Canada.

Provides training and opportunities for adult volunteers to work with people with HIV/AIDS, help with special events, and perform various office tasks.

Program provides in-home alternatives to nursing home care for low-income seniors. Services include: a personal care plan to meet the individual's needs at home by arranging an appropriate mix of services to supplement care provided by family members and friends. Eligible services include adaptive and assistive equipment, assistance in the home with health activities, such as taking medications appropriately and other health-related activities, with case/care management, adult day care, chore service, home medical equipment and supplies, emergency response systems, home-delivered meals, homemaker services, independent living assistance, minor home modifications, nutrition consultation, personal care services, medical and non-medical transportation. Program also administers the Pre-Admission Review process that determines the level of care for persons who want to enter Medicaid-certified nursing homes and periodically offers vendors training on dealing with elderly/disabled individuals.

Provides seasonal yard maintenance (including snow shoveling), heavy household cleaning and minor home repair.

Provides light housekeeping or heavy cleaning services depending upon the needs of the client. Includes services such as full house cleaning, scrubbing floors, bathroom and shower cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, grocery shopping, and cleaning cupboards. Will also pack, unpack, and organize home during a move. Will not clean outdoor windows requiring the use of a ladder or perform full carpet cleaning.

Provides homemaking services in Xenia and Xenia Township to those who need help with light housekeeping and provides someone who will run short errands.

Provides non-medical in-home care. Services include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errand and transportation services, daily telephone reassurance, laundry, and clothing shopping, emergency monitoring services, dressing and grooming assistance.

Places older adults in the homes of housebound adults and elder individuals to provide companionship, support and tasks of daily living that are necessary to help their clients maintain independence. Services may include light housekeeping, assistance with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and support to family caregivers.

Provides in-home light housekeeping services that allow low-income seniors age 60+ to remain independent in their home. NOTE: this program is full and has a waiting list.
