Eligibility
- Serves Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, Noble, and Tuscarawas counties.
- To become a client and receive services: Must be either age 60 or over OR an adult age 18 or over with a disability.
- To become a stipend paid volunteer: Must be age 55 or over, be below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, submit to a background check, and have a physician verify that you are able to volunteer.
Required documents
- Volunteers must submit a copy of their driver's license/state ID, auto insurance for mileage reimbursement.
- Clients do not need any documentation but to only complete intake forms.
Hours
Senior Companions serve an average of 15 to 40 hours per week.

Fees
- No fee for service.
- Volunteers who meet income guidelines receive a small non-taxable stipend and mileage reimbursement.

Places older adults in homes of housebound adults and older adults for companionship, support, and assistance with other tasks of daily living necessary to help their clients maintain independence. Services provided may include light housekeeping, assistance with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and support to family caregivers.
