Provides temporary assistance to residents of Medina County who need help feeding their pets. Each request for assistance is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Provides dry dog and cat food to Lorain County residents in need.

Provides a pet food giveaway to individuals in need of food for their companion animals.

Provides many core pet services, including: low cost vaccine and microchips; flea treatment/preventative; dewormer (Treatment for tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms & whipworms); and ID tags for dogs and cats. Also can offer low cost (below retail prices) pet supplies, such as leashes/collar combo, cannine and feline enrichment toys, treats, and litter pans. Provides access to low cost spay/neuter for Cleveland and East Cleveland residents.

Provides classes for youth on how to be safe around dogs.

Offers presentations for groups about the Humane Society and pet care.

Offers dog and puppy behavior classes taught in six-week sessions at the shelter.

Provides pet care and boarding for individuals with severe mental illness/substance use disorders in the event they need acute inpatient psychiatric or detox care that would leave them away from their home and pets for an extended period of time. ***This is not an emergency placement program for pets and placement of pet could take several days to coordinate. *Pet must be up to date on all shots and required vaccinations. If they are not, the animal will be vaccinated by the Humane Society and The Pet Project will cover the cost for required vaccinations. *Pet boarding is limited to five (5) days. Additional days may be determined on a caseby-case basis. *Transportation of animal to The Human Society must be arranged by the owner of the animal. *Animal must meet shelter intake guideline.

Pet food is available through the food pantry on a limited basis. It is available first come, first serve.

Provides low cost pet food pantry for a one month duration. Available for six consecutive months, after which there is a six month waiting period.

Provides food, pet food and houshold supplies by donations from three churches that participate.

Congregate meal site. Food pantry boxes and voucher assistance available.

Partners with local agencies to provide a locator tool to find pet food for pets of the homeless.

Provides an 8-week intervention program that matches at-risk youth with hard-to-adopt rescue dogs from local shelters and rescues. Participants receive dog training.

Provides emergency pet food for cats and dogs. One to two days worth of food is provided for up to 2 cats and/or 2 dogs.

Provides cat and dog food to individuals who are at risk of not being able to feed their pet. Availability varies based on donations.

Offers a variety of programming and classes available to the community including but not limited to: arts and crafts instruction, computer classes, babysitting instruction, dance classes, foreign language instruction, gardening classes, musical instrument training, financial planning, small business development, cooking classes, and dog obedience.
