Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for services that are emergencies and non-recurring (a situation not extending beyond 4 months) and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. Provides a maximum of $3,000 (per 12-month period) with paying for pre-employment testing (physicals, psychological resting, drug screens, and so forth), testing (for state licenses, board certifications, commercial driver's license (CDL), GED test, and so forth), short term help with paying for occupational/training supplies, driver's education, books, manuals, tuition expenses, and so forth. Provides a maximum of $500 (per 12-month period) for suitable clothing for a job interview after first referring to a Goodwill Store.

Provides assistance to qualified individuals and families. Intended to meet the local needs of families to overcome immediate barriers and help them become and stay self-supporting. Assistance available includes: Employment related expenses such as: -Vehicle repairs. - Driver's license fees (new or expired, does not include reinstatement). - Reimbursements for tools, equipment, uniforms, shoes/boots, and so forth. - Fingerprinting costs. - Gas vouchers for new employment (until receipt of first paycheck). Shelter/Housing expenses such as: - Rent or deposit for forestalling court-ordered evictions in rentals. - Bills to forestall utility shutoffs (gas, electric and water). - Fuel oil and propane purposes. - Emergency shelter due to fire, natural disaster, states of emergency, or domestic violence situations. Kinship assistance includes: - For a new kinship caregiver within six (6) months of a child moving into the home: Furniture and other items needs to care for children in the home. - Once a child(ren) has been with a kinship provider for more than six (6) months: There is an available reimbursement of child care costs up to four (4) months a year.

Transportation and Employment Assistance: Provides assistance with automotive repairs, parts, service, towing charges and so forth. Offers drivers’ education courses, drivers’ license fees and license plate fee assistance. Purchase of special tools and equipment needed for employment (such as wrenches for a car mechanic, work boots, tool belts, safety equipment, back supports and so forth.). Higher Education Assistance: Provides assistance with expenses related to higher education and/or training such as testing for State licenses, board certification, commercial driver’s license, costs of books, lab fees and registration fees. Relocation Assistance: Will assist with relocation expenses if the client must move for employment purposes. Relocation expenses for employment out of county or out of state only.

Provides assistance for expenses that arise due to starting or maintaining employment. Assists with a variety of expenses on a case-bycase basis including gas to get to work, required testing, uniforms, tools and so forth.

Provides payment assistance for expenses related to maintaining or obtaining employment as well as for job training and education expenses. - Transportation Assistance: Provides three (3) months' worth of bus passes or a maximum of $200 per month in gas cards with a three (3) month limit. - Employment Assistance: Provides a maximum of $500 for job related tools/equipment or supplies, professional licensing, and up to five (5) uniforms (if required for employment). - Adult Education: Provides a maximum of $1,000 to pay for Adult Basic Education, GED Preparation, Occupational Training, and/or Short-Term Education Programs.
