Pneumonia shots are given daily at the clinic. Patients can receive 2 Pneumovax-23 shots in a lifetime, at least 5 years apart. However, if a patient receives their first Pneumovax-23 shot after the age of 65, they do not always require a second one. Rambo Memorial Health Center also provides the Prevnar-13 injection that is given to adults once in their lifetime. It must be separated from Pneumovax-23 by one year. Prescription is required for both Pneumovax-23 and Prevnar-13 injections.
