Flu shots are given in the clinic on a daily basis. Special evening hours are observed to assist those persons unable to visit the clinic during regular business hours. However, if a patient receives their first Pneumovax-23 shot after the age of 65, they do not always require a second one. Rambo Memorial Health Center also provides the Prevnar-13 injection that is given to adults once in their lifetime. It must be separated from Pneumovax-23 by one year. Prescription is required for both Pneumovax-23 and Prevnar-13 injections.

Immunization Clinic | Knox Public Health

KCHD now offers travel vaccinations and Pneumococcal Pneumonia Immunizations. It's important to get vaccinated at least four to six weeks before traveling. This will give the vaccines time to start working, and provide protection while traveling and also ensures there's enough time to get vaccines that require more than one dose. Among the vaccines offered to local travelers are those for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, tetanus, typhoid, malaria, polio, meningitis, Japanese encephalitis and rabies. One vaccine that won't be available locally anytime soon is the one for yellow fever which is in short supply due to an outbreak in South America, but KCHD has information on other clinics in Ohio where the vaccine is available.
