Flu Shots, Pneumonia and Shingles Vaccinations.

Offers recommended immunizations and vaccinations for children and adults. CHILDREN: - Bacterial meningitis - Chickenpox - Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (also known as whooping cough) - Flu (influenza) - Haemophilus influenzae type b disease, or Hib disease - Hepatitis A - Hepatitis B - Human papillomavirus (HPV) - Measles, mumps, and rubella - Pneumococcal disease - Polio - Rotavirus ADULTS: - Flu - Pneumococcal - Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis.

Provides seasonal flu shots by injection. Does not offer preservative-free or Thimerosal-free vaccines. Pneumonia shots also available.

In partnership with the City of Pataskala, the Licking County Health Department (LCHD) will host a Community Flu Vaccination Clinic on November 20th at its Pataskala Office.

Adult and childhood vaccines are offered at the Marietta City Health Department.

Provides influenza vaccine according to the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), flu shots will be available when the vaccine arrives (usually in September of each year). Flu shots are given in the clinic on a daily basis. Special evening hours are observed to assist those persons unable to visit the clinic during regular business hours. Pneumonia shots are given daily at the clinic. Patients can receive 2 Pneumovax-23 shots in a lifetime, at least 5 years apart. However, if a patient receives their first Pneumovax-23 shot after the age of 65, they do not always require a second one. Rambo Memorial Health Center also provides the Prevnar-13 injection that is given to adults once in their lifetime. It must be separated from Pneumovax-23 by one year. Prescription is required for both Pneumovax-23 and Prevnar-13 injections.

Provides immunizations that include childhood immunizations as well as immunizations for adults who may need hepatitis A or B, measles/mumps/rubella, diphtheria/tetanus, seasonal flu vaccines, shingles, or chickenpox vaccines. Also does tuberculosis testing and pregnancy testing. Does not offer specialized travel vaccines.

Offers a variety of outpatient services, including adolescent immunizations, pneumonia shots, pediatrics, and well-baby care, lead screening, and general physical exams. Osteopathic services that use muscle movement to diagnose and treat illness are also available.

Provides blood pressure screenings, tuberculosis (TB) skin tests, and vaccinations or shots for: Seasonal Flu, Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria (Td), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis A and B, Pneumonia, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Meningitis, Shingles and HPV.

Those available include Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), vaccines against Mpox (aka Monkeypox), Pneumococcal vaccine and meningiococcal vaccine, Td/Tdap (Tetanus with Diphtheria and Pertusis), Polio, (for HPV) and HIB, as well as Rabies vaccinations when needed (primarily for those who handle at-risk animals routinely). A few sites also offer Chicken Pox, rotavirus (debilitating diarrhea) and shingles vaccinations (both for the Herpes Zoster virus). This is Yellow fever certified clinic.

KCHD now offers travel vaccinations and Pneumococcal Pneumonia Immunizations. It's important to get vaccinated at least four to six weeks before traveling. This will give the vaccines time to start working, and provide protection while traveling and also ensures there's enough time to get vaccines that require more than one dose. Among the vaccines offered to local travelers are those for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, tetanus, typhoid, malaria, polio, meningitis, Japanese encephalitis and rabies. One vaccine that won't be available locally anytime soon is the one for yellow fever which is in short supply due to an outbreak in South America, but KCHD has information on other clinics in Ohio where the vaccine is available.
