Provides independent living skills assessment and training. Helps clients develop and achieve their personal and vocational goals. Also offers individual and group training on work and life issues for those with disabilities by peers with disabilities. Covers topics such as stress management, setting goals, understanding relationships, accessing community resources, self-advocacy, preparing for work, selecting appropriate attire for work, social skills in the workplace, and handling work and home responsibilities. Will provide short-term instruction on how to travel safely and independently to and from a regularly visited destination using public transportation.

Provides a group home for 20 children (2 beds for emergency foster care); services include individual, group, and family counseling; recreational program; education coordination (with Eaton Public schools); ongoing assistance for ex-residents (employment/housing/living skills). Primarily serves Preble County youth ages 8 to 18; other counties by referral.

Works to help adults with developmental disabilities achieve the highest level of independent function possible. Each new client receives an individual plan which is reviewed as needed. Services include work evaluation, basic skills development, recreational activities for seniors no longer working. A number of supportive services are provided to participants, including communication skills training, recreation and activities, social work, physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Offers classes for people with disabilities to develop the skills to live as independently as possible. Instruction provided includes the following: housing, basic banking, working with a personal assistant, effective communication skills, accessing public transit, civil rights and accessibility.

Provide habilitation services to assist in acquiring skills that promote increased independent functioning. Evaluation, speech, mobility training, psychological, therapy and other services are provided daily based on an individuals specific needs. Individuals are transported to and from the Living Skills Centers on a daily basis.

Provide prescribing and monitoring of psychotropic medications by a Physician Assistant under the supervision of a Physician.

Provides counseling and guidance, information and referral, and services as appropriate to achieve more independence for clients in their homes and communities. Priority groups for service are persons with severe disabilities at risk of being institutionalized or those in institutions with reasonable expectation of living alone in their own residences.

Provides special programming for adults with severe or profound mental retardation, developmental disabilities and multiple handicaps, as well as day programming for those with geriatric needs. Training occurs in such areas as personal hygiene and grooming, daily living skills, health care, use of leisure time and the development of prevocational skills. Our goal is to augment and maximize each person's independent functioning in all areas of their lives.

Provides physical and occupational therapy to children and adults with disabilities.
