INDEPENDENT LIVING PLANS AND SKILL SET TRAINING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES | INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER OF NCO
Work with Individuals with disabilities to train and develop personal strengths, master living skills, overcome barriers, and utilize technologies and resources allowing them to continue living independently and productively within their home and community. The agency strives to train in the areas of assistive technologies, and work with suppliers to advocate for and represent our consumers. We also do a minimal amount of direct services.

Office hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Appointments available and necessary during any federally and state mandated regulations. Scheduling intake appointment recommended.

Application process
Call for information and instructions. Intake packet must be submitted including but not limited to: Verification of Disability, Verification of Income, Independent Living Plan and additional verifiable documentation necessary to meet funding and/or services requirements.
Fee
Generally no fees, however there are pay-for-fee services available
Eligibility
1. Must be a resident within our service area. 2. Must have a disability with current, documented verification provided by a physician or a psychiatrist. 3. Any age. 4. Depending on service you may need to meet income guidelines. 5. Staff will assist in navigating community resources to determine best plan of action and needed skills 6. Waiver recipients must provide documentation for determination of services and lines of authority and guidance 7. Rent or utility assistance applicant must meet ALL requirements of the Center and Funding source. No exceptions.

Provides the following core services as defined by Administration for Community Living for Individuals with Disabilities: Information and Referral, Peer Support, Advocacy, Independent Living Skills Youth Transition, Institutional Transition, and Diversion Services. Working for, and WITH, individuals with disabilities in the North Central Ohio area included: Richland, Crawford, Morrow, Knox, Ashland and Huron counties.
