Professional educators provide community programs and screenings to promote health and wellness. Programs include Women in Touch, Healthier at Home, Resource Mothers, Fatherhood Support, Centering Pregnancy, Hispanic Health, Stepping Out, Prescription Assistance and community health events for men and women. Screenings include blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, osteoporosis, body fat, balance, and carbon monoxide.

A van from the James Cancer Center mobile unit visits Perry County 6-8 times a year to assist women in need of breast screenings. Women age 40 or older, women under the age of 40 with a first degree relative who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and women under the age of 40 who have an area of concern are eligible for screenings. Women who fit eligibility criteria receive a free mammogram.

Provides Certified Nurse Midwives to offer pregnancy, post-partum and miscarriage care, with the goal of improving overall health. Midwives attend births at Fairview Hospital to provide Birth and Doula support. Midwives also provide: pelvic exams, PAP tests, breast exams and scheduling of routine mammograms, family planning including birth control and emergency contraception, treatment of other concerns like yeast infections, sexually transmitted diseases, irregular periods, PMS, sexual health, menopause care and support for women dealing with depression and partner/domestic violence, a nurse advice line, 24 hour provider coverage, breastfeeding and lactation support and consultation, free pregnancy tests, and same day and evening appointments.

Offers screening procedures for the early detection of breast cancer which involves a manual examination of the breasts for lumps, thickening or other abnormalities.

If the patients's needs cannot be met, clinic will try to arrange for an appropriate referral. Does not do PAP tests; for those, clinic recommends going to the Kno-Ho-Co Clinic. Social Services Director/Wellness Coordinator is available to patients to provide resource referral and coordination to address different needs. * All services have a faith-based message.

The objective of the program is to reduce the incidence of unplanned, unintended pregnancies by providing voluntary, comprehensive family planning services. In addition, concentration is focused upon continually improving the quality of reproductive health care services for identified client need such as pregnancy, early prenatal care, human services, genetic counseling, and any other client need. Comprehensive reproductive health includes client education, community education and outreach, social services and referral, health history and physical assessment, PAP screenings, laboratory testing, all approved methods of contraception, sexually transmitted disease assessment and treatment or referral, infertility level 1 services, pregnancy diagnosis, and non-directional all options counseling. In addition, confidential HIV screenings, education, and counseling are provided at the clinics. PrEP medications and lab follow-up. All services rendered are kept confidential. Family Planning services are based on a sliding fee scale and no one is denied service due to inability to pay. All forms of Public and Private Health Insurance are accepted.

North Columbus Health Center offers the following women's health services: reproductive/sexual health problem check-up, breast exams, cervical cancer screening, colposcopy, fibroids evaluation, hormone replacement therapy, incontinence education, infertility education, mammogram referrals, menopause and midlife education, menopause and midlife testing and treatment, Pap test, urinary tract infection (UTI) testing and treatment, vaginal infection testing and treatment. May provide other services including help with irregular periods or no periods, painful periods, painful sex, bleeding between periods, menstrual problems (premenstrual syndrome) or even a lost tampon.
