Provides fire fighting and rescue operations for the City of Euclid. Provides smoke detectors and/or batteries to eligible residents who own their homes and will install detectors, and also replace batteries if necessary, in the home.

Ohio Buckles Buckeyes (OBB) Car Seat Program, Wyandot County Public Health provides child safety seats and booster seats to eligible low-income families for a minimal fee.

Provides education programs and new car seats to income eligible families.

Provides fire prevention and protection services for the Village of Highland Hills. Offers smoke detectors for seniors.

Provides residents with free smoke alarms if theirs are missing or non-functioning.

Provides size-appropriate seats for children that buckle into passenger vehicles. Seats are fitted to the child and installed by a technician. Offers front-facing, high-backed seats as well as booster seats for older children. Distribution includes safety education and installation of the seat in vehicle.

Offers comprehensive medical social services and discharge planning services to patients. Also offers infant carseats for infant's first five months of life.

Offers installation of a key lock box for residents with functional needs on the outside of their home. The key inside the box will allow firefighters and paramedics to gain quick access in an emergency situation.

Provides fire prevention and protection services for the City of Shaker Heights. Offers a CO detector for loan, and provides photoelectric smoke detectors. Will speak about fire prevention and safety, assist with fire escape planning, and conduct a home safety assessment. Provides fire safety education through the use of a mobile fire safety house.

Provides and installs free smoke alarms to homeowners.

Offers small, safe-like steel boxes in which property owners can store entrance keys. The boxes are attached to the front door or mounted near the front entryway of an individual's residence and can be opened by a master key maintained by the fire department in the event that the resident is unavailable or unable to answer the door.

Safety initiative providing supplies for parents and caregivers to help them make sure children and pets are not left in vehicles. Supplies include: * Window cling thermometer - Reads temperature of vehicle. * Slap-on wristband - Parent/caregiver puts on wristband after putting child/pet in care, removing wristband once child/pet is out of car. * Smart sensor Doona - Sensor will detect if child is sitting on device, and send time-based alerts to parent/caergiver. Alerts escalate from notification to AMBER alert-style notification. If no action is taken, a phone call to parent/caregiver and up to five emergency contacts is placed, with emergency services notified after no response. * Initiative sponsored by Philips Family Foundation.

Provides a home safety modification program to help prevent falls and other safety-related incidents. Provides repair and materials to enhance safety, including smoke detectors (will be referred to local fire department first), grab bars, hand rails, and easily visible house numbers. Individuals could also qualify for the another rehabilitation program with agency.

Provides Barberton residents with a free smoke detector including installation by a Barberton firefighter.

Provides maternity and baby/children's clothing (sizes 0 to 5T) for clients. Also offers items for infants such as cribs, pack-n-plays, car seats/boosters, and high chairs. Requires program participation to earn credits to receive items.

Provides education, information and advocacy to reduce the risk of injury and death in children. Offers car seats at a reduce cost to low-income families. Provide free car seat checks to ensure they are properly installed. Offers information on bike helmets and offers helmets at a reduce cost. Provides home safety inspections.

Provides trigger locks to assist in the securing of firearms. Provides instruction on gun locking devices. Note: this is a temporary grant funded program.

Provides and installs free smoke alarms. Offers fire safety information including how to develop an escape plan.

Provides supplemental food vouchers, nutrition education, counseling, support and referral services to eligible women, children, fathers, and kinship caregivers. Nursing mothers are provided with information and education on breastfeeding. Also offers speakers who discuss the program and the value of good nutrition and breastfeeding. During the summer, also provides a supplemental voucher to each client for fruits and vegetables from selected local growers (Farmers' Market Nutrition Program) - these are available while supplies last. BST&G Fire District offers free smoke detectors and smoke detector installation.

Provides a variety of household items to individuals below the poverty guidelines over the age of 60.

Provides all fire and EMS services for the City of Brooklyn. Also investigates concerns in the city about carbon monoxide. Offers blood pressure screening. Provides smoke detectors to any city residents who need them. Available for presentations on fire prevention, and provides written material on this subject. Will assist with checking child passenger seats, to be sure they are installed properly.

Provides assistance in installing up to three free smoke alarms and testing existing smoke alarms.

If your family has a WIC eligible income, your child can receive a child car seat from the Health Department for $10. (Your family does not have to be on WIC, they just need to meet the income guidelines - 185% of the poverty level). Parents need to attend a short class to receive the car seat.
