These classes are a great way to improve your employability or prepare to enroll in college or other training programs. GED - Learn how to use a scientific calculator (used in the GED tests), as well as prepare for the GED test. You can improve math, reading and writing skills to increase college placement and work-place credential scores. Classes help students prepare for the world of work. The Aspire program provides classes and individual instruction for adults who wish to improve their basic skills and/or prepare for the General Equivalence Diploma (GED) test. The GED exam is now computer-based and includes 4 modules:

• Science (90 minutes);
• Social Studies (90 minutes);
• Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)(150 minutes);
• Mathematical Reasoning (115 minutes)

Each module costs $30; the entire battery of 4 modules costs $120.

Services include translating/interpreting, health education, blood pressure screenings, tutoring, adult basic literacy education, employment referrals and counseling. Social services and family support include emergency assistance, technical assistance and referrals. Employment services offer job referral, job readiness, and technical assistance. Educational services provide English classes, computer literacy, and financial literacy. Youth programs include after school and summer day camp.
