Offers a Career & Academic Readiness Education program at Mid-East Career and Technology Centers offers free classes, workshops and programs to help students prepare for the workforce. For some, obtaining a job includes completing high school, improving basic skills, and/or entering college or adult certification programs. All students go through a process to identify their strengths and interests and the careers that line up with those strengths and interests, while taking into consideration what in-demand occupations are available locally. Our classes, with support from Aspire funding, help students meet their individual personal and professional goals.

Provides remedial education for students struggling with reading, math, and other basic skills.

Works with adults who need help improving their English-speaking skills to be better parents, efficient workers, and involved community members. All sessions are held on Zoom and are available upon request.

Provides presentations of papers and workshops several times a year, featuring distinguished psychoanalytic clinicians and educators. Continuing Education Units (CEU) and Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits are available for mental health practitioners.

A therapeutic educational environment for elementary school aged children who are struggling in a traditional classroom setting. We support children and families in managing anxiety, socialization issues, coping skills, symptoms management attention deficit and hyperactivity and anger managment.

Offers GED preparation classes for adults without a high school diploma.

Administers and scores high school equivalency tests that are accepted in substitution for diplomas when individuals have not achieved a standard high school diploma. Tests have multiple subject sections, including mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies. Offers practice tests as well as study materials to help individuals prepare to take the test. Also offers re-testing of all or part of the test. Those who complete the tests successfully receive a credential that proves they have passed.

Provides training to learn new job skills and to increase current job skill levels in a wide variety of professional employment areas. Provides background for testing for certification and professional licensure as well as continuing education credits where appropriate. Service is also available to employers wishing to increase skills of their employees as a whole. Areas covered include: bank teller training, truck driver training, training and education for those in the construction trades, small business development, customer service, careers working with aging individuals, health care careers (State Tested Nursing Assistant-STNA- training), Spanish for health care professionals, social work certification, human resources, meeting/event planning, food service/hospitality, classes to prepare for standardized tests such as the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and other college entrance exams, police/fire/emergency training, and computer classes (including certification in advanced information technology).

On Purpose Academy and Mentoring Center serves Preschoolers ages 2 1/2 to 4 year old with a researched based curriculum preparing them for Kindergarden. Our afterschool programs serves students and their parents with mentoring, training, life skills and community service in order for them to be successful in life.

Provides high school diplomas to Veterans who left high school to join the service at that time. No classes are required. The diploma may be from one's own school if it still exists. Note: It is not an equivalency certificate or other substitute.

Provides online GED instruction for migrant and seasonal farmworker communities. Strives to make learning relevant to each individual's situation and take into consideration their social and cultural backgrounds.

Provides a comprehensive course designed for students needing the academic skills necessary to pass the GED test. The school is an official testing center designated by the State of Ohio. English, science, math, literature, and social studies are covered with a practical test offered to help students determine areas needed to pass the actual test.

Offers an authorized test center for the Official GED test through a partnership with PearsonVue.

Offers eligible students special education as well as gifted education. Provides education and services for students who have disabilities.

Provides a phone line where callers can find programs that may help them finish their high school equivalency tests and get a diploma or improve their ability to read, write, or do mathematics. Also offers, ESOL and U.S. citizenship classes. Some sites may offer job training for professional certificates alongside preparation for the GED exam.

Offers comprehensive employment services including vocational evaluation, career exploration, occupational skills training, job readiness, job finding assistance and soft skills training.

Provides children with homework assistance, breakfast/snack, physical activities, fun extended learning opportunities, and a safe place to have fun outside the school day; before and after school care as well as a summer camp.

GOAL Digital Academy is a public online charter school serving students throughout the state of Ohio in grades K-12 with a curriculum written to Ohio Standards. In addition to standard curriculum, GOAL offers credit flexibility, drop-out prevention, and credit recovery programs to its high school students. GOAL provides educational opportunities for students up to 21 years of age, and up to 23 years of age for students with an Individual Education Plan. An adaptive curriculum in an actual onsite classroom is available for qualifying high school students. Can issue a youth work permit.
