Supporting Partnerships To Assure Ready Kids (SPARK) | Early Childhood Resource Center - Akron Office

Offers a home-visiting parent-child focused program that collaborates with families and schools to increase children's readiness for kindergarten, increase parents' effectiveness as their children's first teacher, and improve children's transitions into their school. The staff brings all the materials needed to work with the family and at the end of the lesson the family receives a new children's book and learning materials.

Stark County Educational Service Center Preschool Programs | Stark County Educational Service Center

Provides a collaborative preschool program in 11 school districts. Offers integrated classrooms that includes children with a wide range of developmental levels. A limited number of children ages 3-5 who are functioning at age expected levels may attend as peer models or "classmates." Each integrated classroom has eight preschool children with disabilities and eight children as peer models. Class size doesn't exceed 16 children per teacher.

Bright Beginnings Preschool | Ohio Valley Educational Service Center

Preschool program targets at-risk students, as well as students with mild disabilities. Preschool classrooms are located within local school district buildings. Children ages 3 to 5 years of age attend two or four full days per week based on the district calendar in which the classroom is located. To meet your child’s individual needs, the team determines the most appropriate services. Service locations can be in a community preschool/child care center, Head Start program, public/special education preschool program, or at home. Services may be provided through full-day classes, part-day classes, or in itinerant/weekly visits.

Spark | Wellspring

Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids (SPARK) is a family-focused kindergarten-readiness program that works collaboratively with families, schools and the community. Each month, children receive a new book, numerous lesson activities and educational supplies and participate in home or group-based, learning opportunities. A SPARK Parent Partner visits each family in their home once a month for one to two hours. The Parent Partner leaves parents with additional activity ideas to actively facilitate their child's educational development between SPARK visits.
