Spark | Wellspring
Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids (SPARK) is a family-focused kindergarten-readiness program that works collaboratively with families, schools and the community. Each month, children receive a new book, numerous lesson activities and educational supplies and participate in home or group-based, learning opportunities. A SPARK Parent Partner visits each family in their home once a month for one to two hours. The Parent Partner leaves parents with additional activity ideas to actively facilitate their child's educational development between SPARK visits. By the end of the year-long SPARK cycle, children complete 12 lessons and receive up to 16 different books. For more information on SPARK Ohio, www.sparkohio.org
