The Victim/Witness Division provides crisis intervention and supportive services to victims and witnesses of violent crime. Advocates provide specialized services to victims of sexual violence, domestic violence and survivors of homicide victims. Advocates respond to area emergency departments to provide crisis intervention and support to victims of sexual violence regardless of whether an offender is identified and/or prosecuted. Advocates work with families who have lost a loved one to a homicide and offer a monthly support group. Additionally, advocates are located at CARE House to provide services to child victims of physical and sexual abuse. Advocates are available to provide court advocacy and an explanation of the criminal justice process. Eligible victims are notified of and provided information and assistance concerning the Victim Compensation Program. Advocates also provide assistance to victims on post-conviction issues including parole hearings.

They provide crime victims with information, resources, support and advocacy, as well as practical assistance in response to an individual's victimization. Advocates support victims and survivors of misdemeanor offenses, including but not limited to: assault, domestic violence, violation of protection order, menacing, and aggravated menacing, etc.
SARN offers crime victim accompaniment when a medical examination is required to gather evidence, to the police station to file a complaint, or to appear in court to give evidence.
Provides victims with notification of hearing dates and status of cases, education about the criminal justice system, assistance with victim impact statements, provides a liaison with the Prosecutor's office, assists with victims of crime compensation forms, community education, court accompaniment, assists with civil protection orders and temporary protection orders.
