Those who enter our "Just the Basics" program first meet with a case manager who identifies and verifies any needs. The case manager collaborates with the client to write and action plan that includes a self-sufficiency goal. Clients and case managers work together to determine a realistic level of independence at which to aim.

Provides clothing, shoes, and accessories for men, women, and children. Assists with household items such as small appliances, lamps, curtains, plates, pans, and so forth. Toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, feminine products, and incontinence supplies (adult diapers) are available on the 4th Thursday of the month. Ask at other times for critical needs. Clients are able to choose what they need among available items. There are monthly limits to what can be received. Adults can receive 30 items of clothing a month. Children can receive 20 items of clothing a month. The agency will keep track of the totals which will refresh the first of the month.

Habitat’s ReStore is a facility that supports the services provided by Habitat for Humanity of Fairfield County. The ReStore resells overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals. These donated items are sold to the public.
