Provides urgent and critical home repairs, accessibility modifications and energy conservation services, completed by PWC's construction and trades trades staff, which includes carpenters, HVAC technicians, plumbers and electricians. Clients must be low-income (below 50% Area Median Income) and own their home.

Minor Home Repair/ Maintenence Service to qualified homeowners priority is given to repairs that focus on health and safety

LIHEAP helps pay the winter heating bills or summer cooling bills of low-income and elderly people. During extreme weather conditions, people living in poverty and low-income elderly should not have to choose between buying fuel to heat or cool their homes and buying food for themselves and their families. Since two-thirds of the families receiving LIHEAP assistance have incomes of less than $8,000 a year, the program clearly helps the people who need help the most.

Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) services include attic, wall and basement insulation; heating system repairs or replacements; air-leakage reduction; and other measures where appropriate. Homeowners and renters whose income is 150% or less of federal poverty guidelines are eligible. Columbia Gas partners with LEADS to help income eligible customers. WarmChoice reduces gas usage by an average of 28 percent. This can save customers approximately $400 in average savings.

Provides a weatherization review, safety inspection on combustion appliances such as a heating unit, gas stove, water tank, etc. Other services may include a tune-up / repair of combustion appliances, insulation of attics, insulation of sidewalls, sealing of heating ducts, insulation of floors or foundation perimeter, insulation of water heaters, reduction of air leakage from major sources, personalized energy management plan and information on how to control humidity in the home.

The Home Weatherization Assistance Program helps families reduce heating and cooling costs by increasing efficient energy use. By analyzing the home's energy efficiency, staff can install insulation and weather stripping or take other measures to reduce the family's heating and cooling costs while increasing their comfort. As a result of the Home Weatherization Assistance Program, households experience energy efficiency, and health and safety gains.

Offers incentives to homebuilders to construct homes that are 50 percent more efficient than required by code. In addition to the incentives this program will bring to residential consumers, a financing program may help customers invest in these energy savings projects. Columbia Gas may offer low or no interest programs to eligible customers to help pay for improvements resulting from the program.
