Provides services to income-eligible renters and homeowners which may include: testing and repairing heating units, reducing air infiltration and installing insulation in the attic, walls, and/or floors. Health and safety hazards threatening the residents or weatherization crew may also be removed.
Arranges for weatherization services for low-income customers of Columbia Gas of Ohio. Focuses on helping customers reduce high heating bills. Income-eligible homeowners and renters may receive the following: A full home energy inspection; Attic and wall insulation; Air sealing; Safety checks on natural gas appliances; Natural gas furnace repair or replacement; Natural gas water heater repair or replacement.

Weatherization measures may include: *Safety Inspection, tune-up/repair, and if necessary, installation of heating units *Insulation of attics *Insulation of sidewalls *Insulation of heating ducts *Insulation of water tanks *Reduction of air leakage from major sources *Personalized energy management plans

Provides minor repairs or enhancements to homes based on inspection results, such as sealing drafts, adding insulation, repairing windows and doors, installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and repairing or replacing heating equipment and water heaters.

Performs emergency and extensive housing rehabilitation services based on need and income eligibility. Housing rehabilitation maximum grant amount is $10,000 per property. Emergency grants may be available when property is considered substandard or where a government agency (health or building department) certified in writing that there is an imminent threat to health and safety. Services include repair or replacement of sidewalks, handicapped accessibility improvements, exterior painting, electric and electrical panel updates, foundation repair and weatherproofing, furnace repair and replacement, vermin and insect removal, plumbing repairs including hot water tank replacement, and connection to sanitary sewers and/or water lines. (HEAP) is a federally funded program administered by the Ohio Development Services Agency. It helps eligible Ohioans pay their home energy bill. The benefit is applied directly to a customer’s utility bill or bulk fuel bill. The amount of the benefit is determined by the number of people in the household, the heating source, and the region of residence.
