Assists families in lowering heating costs by improving the ability of the home to release and retain heat. Provides heating system tune-ups, inspections, safety and health testing. Assists in individualized client energy education.

Make the homes of income eligible participants more energy efficient. Insulates attics, blows cellulose into side walls, caulks windows and doors, and takes any other practical measures to minimize or stop cold air infiltration. Furnaces are checked and repaired or replaced under this program, as well.

Offering a voluntary incentive program for the installation of rain barrels on residential properties. The program currently offers one (1) not-to-exceed $50 rebate for one (1) rain barrel per property.

Offers a home energy inspection which includes safety checks on natural gas appliances. Possible energy efficiency services may include attic and wall insulation, air sealing, and repair or replacement of natural gas appliances.

Helps Columbia Gas customers take action to save money on their natural gas bills. Starts with a low-cost Home Energy Audit, and provides generous rebates to make qualified energy efficiency improvements much more affordable. Customers will benefit most from this program if their gas-heated home uses 1000 Ccf of natural gas or more per year.

Serves as a local service provider for Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP), a federally funded low-income residential energy efficiency program to reduce low-income households' energy use. Offers individualized client education. Services may include: - Attic, wall, and basement insulation. - Blower-door-guided air leakage reduction. - Heating system repair or replacement. - Hot water tank repair or replacement. - Light bulbs may be replaced if they are incandescent. - Testing and possible replacement of refrigerators and freezers. - Health and safety testing and inspections. NOTE: Program participants are required to let all contractors and inspectors in to complete all work that they deem appropriate. If all of the work is not completed, participants will be billed for the work that is completed.

The goal of the Electric Partnership Program (EPP) is to help eligible families lower their AEP bill. The EPP provides home energy audits and energy efficiency test for refrigerators and freezers. Eligible families may receive energy efficient light bulbs, showerheads, hot water tank insulation, pipe insulation and custom suggestions to help reduce the electric bill. NOTE: Older Refrigerators and freezers may be replaced free of charge if they meet certain requirements.

Offers several programs to help low-income Ohioans pay their utility bills and improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Offers Regular HEAP, HEAP Emergency (E-HEAP) Winter and Summer Crisis programs, Percentage Income Payment Plan (PIPP), and Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP). For E-HEAP and PIPP, an appointment is required at a local provider agency. Regular HEAP program is from September 1 through March 31.
