The Response Team is looking for compassionate, reliable volunteers to receive training and provide follow up and outreach to individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide or overdose. Volunteers can be lay people, clergy, community members, or individuals who have themselves experienced loss.
Volunteers who intend to serve on a regular basis must be at least 18 years old, attend an orientation and training, and undergo a background check. Training will be provided and no previous experience is required.
You can bring hope to the grieving by offering compassionate support in a variety of ways:
- On call support
- Peer Support
- Follow up calls
- Community Outreach
- Data Management
- Administrative Support
- First responder.
