Provides a center; that contains Bach-related manuscripts and first editions. Publishes an international Bach journal. Facilities include a research library, a vault, staff offices, and a listening room.
Advocates for policies regarding the preservation of historic resources. Maintains an Endangered Historic Resources list and organizes forums on various civic issues where historic preservation plays a vital role. Also, engages in letter writing campaigns to the Federal and State government urging support for legislation that is sensitive to historic preservation.
