Potential Big Brothers/Big Sisters are interviewed and matched with a child. The adults are asked to commit to see their matched child twice a month for one year.
Holds an annual JFNA/Jewish Welfare Fund campaign to provide funds for the three agencies under the JCBA umbrella: the Shaw Jewish Community Center of Akron, The Lippman School, and Jewish Family Service.

Aging and Caregiver Services are provided by licensed social workers who offer consultation, friendly volunteer visitors, referrals and linkage, counseling and supportive planning for independent living, and service navigation for caregivers.

Provides trained benefits counselors who help people determine what benefits and government programs they may be eligible for. Assists in applying for benefits and advocates for those in need. Makes referrals to agencies that provide appropriate services.
Develops and maintains positive intergroup relationships in the community by attempting to foster good will and understanding. Represents the Jewish community by participating in community groups. Offers speakers to schools and organizations for presentations on Judaism and/or Israel. Maintains a calendar of events on website.
Maintains a database that list volunteer opportunities and makes referrals to those agencies needing volunteers. Volunteers serve in various capacities such as at soup kitchens, food pantries, holiday parties and meals and collecting needed items such as food and personal supplies. Most assignments are longer term, but short-term assignments available four times a year. Some opportunities are targeted to the Jewish community, such as collecting Kosher food and planting flowers and cleanup at a Jewish cemetery.
Offers Jewish youth the opportunity to develop their leadership potential and a positive Jewish identity. Programs are youth-led under the guidance of adult advisors and include athletics, social clubs, community services, Jewish heritage classes, special interest groups, leadership training, Israel advocacy and trips worldwide. Offers separate groups for boys and girls and a co-ed group.

Offers youth development programs for Jewish youth such as community service opportunities, leadership training institutes, conventions, summer programs, and travel opportunities to Israel and 18 other counties.
Administers scholarships, interest-free loans, and grants to eligible students who are enrolled in accredited institutions of higher education. Grants and loans are based on need and available funds. Funds may be used toward tuition and education fees. Scholarships are awarded in competition with other students who have met application requirements.
