Provides cultural heritage and spiritual formation programming from a Chabad - Chassidic perspective. Provides a Mikvah (ritual bath) for women as part of the female programming.
Maintains a database that list volunteer opportunities and makes referrals to those agencies needing volunteers. Volunteers serve in various capacities such as at soup kitchens, food pantries, holiday parties and meals and collecting needed items such as food and personal supplies. Most assignments are longer term, but short-term assignments available four times a year. Some opportunities are targeted to the Jewish community, such as collecting Kosher food and planting flowers and cleanup at a Jewish cemetery.
Holds an annual JFNA/Jewish Welfare Fund campaign to provide funds for the three agencies under the JCBA umbrella: the Shaw Jewish Community Center of Akron, The Lippman School, and Jewish Family Service.
Builds and maintains strong relations with Jewish communities and other ethnic, religious, and minority communities. Assists to resolve conflicts between groups. Educates members about Jewish traditions and the traditions of other religious and cultural groups. Will provide educational programs in the community regarding relations between Jewish communities and other groups. Offers a variety of books and other printed materials about the Jewish faith and Jewish life.

Provides a choice food pantry with kosher canned and fresh food. Foods may include a variety of breads, fruit, vegetables, canned goods and grains.
Administers scholarships, interest-free loans, and grants to eligible students who are enrolled in accredited institutions of higher education. Grants and loans are based on need and available funds. Funds may be used toward tuition and education fees. Scholarships are awarded in competition with other students who have met application requirements.
