Prisoners with a history of substance abuse have several options for recovery. DCI provides residential and outpatient treatment programs certified by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS). DCI was ODADAS certified in June 1995.

Provides intensive case management for those on parole or post-release control who have a severe mental illness. Offers the services of social workers, psychiatric nurses, a psychiatrist, and a parole officer. Maintains frequent interaction with client and monitors their medications, basic needs, and housing and employment situations, and helps them find needed treatment and services.

Provides assessment and counseling for drug and/or alcohol use disorder to individuals involved in the court system. The forensic therapist works closely with the courts, probation officers and other community and out-of-county professionals with the goal of decreasing illegal behaviors and encouraging a sober life style.

Provides legal representation for eligible people charged with violations of the criminal code, felony offenses and some misdemeanors. Will also offer some general information about legal issues and the court process.

Provides domestic violence education classes. Corresponds with courts, probation and parole personnel and other organizations. Includes group and individual sessions, random urinalysis and aftercare.

Food servers assist in the preparation, serving, and clean up of meals, as well as other tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves and more.

Provides therapeutically specific services to youth who are demonstrating sexually inappropriate, abusive or offending behaviors. Youth are taught to identify, alter and reshape self-destructive patterns of thoughts and behaviors. Services include group therapy, individual and family counseling and community-based management services. All youth are served but moderate to high risk youth will receive two group sessions per week, an in-home community based worker and possibly individual counseling.

Provides formal supervision for those awaiting trial or on community control (probation) as ordered by the court. Supervises probationers and monitors compliance to the conditions of their probation as well as providing other services such as referrals for social services. Provides specialized probation services for those needing intensive supervision such as those with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and sex offenders. Places offenders into drug treatment when needed. Provides case management for those in drug treatment and acts as a liaison between the court, client, and treatment facility. Also supervises persons in the work release and home detention programs.

Provides psychological evaluations and assessments, general counseling services, including individual, family and groups, medications assessment and management and case management services. Transportation services for clients may also be available for clients with case managers. Also provides psychiatric medication services, including monitoring. Counseling specializes in depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, insomnia, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizo-affective disorder, mood disorder, antisocial personality disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.

Provides a court appointed attorney to defendants when they are determined to be indigent.

Provides mental health and management services to persons found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity or Incompetent to Stand Trial. Provides intensive support and monitoring for the duration of the client's sentence with the goal of successfully re-integrating client in the community.

Provides an inpatient, therapeutic "community as method" approach program for men under court supervision. This is a long-term, intensive program that must be committed to willingly.

Offers supportive services such as case management, urinalysis testing, intensive outpatient drug abuse treatment, ongoing recovery services, and court advocacy. Monitors the offenders progress and makes reports to the court.

Services and resources are available to anyone interested in crime, victim assistance, and public safety including policymakers, practitioners, researchers, educators, community leaders, and the general public.
