Provides social work services for those utilizing Veterans Affairs medical facilities. Social Workers are available to assist in a variety of settings to include the primary care clinic, during hospitalization, at Emergency Department visits, in mental health and rehabilitation units, and upon enrollment in specialty medical programs. Will assist the veteran, their family members, and Caregivers in resolving housing, finance, mood, relationship, and physical limitation issues in individual, group, or family treatment, whichever suits your needs. Social workers often provide long-term case management services to veterans who are at high risk of being admitted to a hospital, those who have very complex medical problems, and those who need additional help and support.

Provides transitional housing with support services for Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan recently honorably discharged from the service and their families who are currently homeless after having to vacate base housing. Offers support services including case management with an Operation Homefront counselor, support groups, workshops, benefits briefings, and resume writing classes. Property amenities include fully furnished, paid utilities, internet access, cable TV, and telephone service.
Offers a program where Veterans work with Veterans to mentor and guide Service members throughout the recovery process.
Provides free cell phones and sim cards for veterans. Veterans get free service for the first six months, and then low cost service afterward. Does not pay past due phone bills.
Provides inpatient substance use disorder treatment (drugs and alcohol) including aftercare services.

Keeps copies of discharge papers (DD-214) for military veterans. After the papers have been recorded the client will receive a certified copies and the original will be returned to the client. Additional copies may be obtained in the future. Records are not available to the general public. Office can also issue a United States Veteran Ohio Identification Card (wall-sized) with photo proving they have honorable discharge papers filed with the county.

Provides personalized hospice care to veterans and their loved ones. Offers a trained staff educated in post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), remorse and regret related to military service, substance abuse and the unique needs of those who served in the military.
Provides primary care, general physical examinations, dermatology, and podiatry. Some sites offer geriatric assessments. Geriatric Evaluation is a health care visit with a team of experts that results in a treatment plan aimed at helping Veterans maintain good health, improve quality of life, reduce the need for hospital stays, and reduce the need for long term care services.

Provides and trains individuals in the use of guide dogs for Veterans. The guide dogs have been trained to help individuals who have visual impairments or blindness increase their mobility and independence and/or maximize their ability to communicate effectively.

Provides photo ID cards to military veterans who record their original or certified discharge documents in the Recorder's office.
Offers a tax reduction program which provides Summit County homeowners with relief on a portion of their home value. With homestead, eligible homeowners receive an exemption on a portion of appraised value from taxation for a single family home. Eligible military Veterans receive an additional exemption.

Offers two separate programs: the Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS) and the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) which provide support and benefits for veterans and their family caregivers. PGCSS program provides peer support mentoring, skills training, coaching, telephone support, online programs, and referrals to available resources to caregivers of Veterans. PCAFC offers enhanced clinical support and services for caregivers of eligible Veterans who have a serious injury (or illness) and require in-person personal care services among other requirements.
