Provides additional support services including: - Citizenship classes to prepare eligible immigrants for the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) citizenship exam. - English instruction in preparation for formal English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. - Mobile Mexican consulate visits (for consular services such as passport renewals and consular IDs). - Clinics and special events (immunization fairs, legal clinics, know your rights information). - Coordination of services with Lorain County Free Clinic. - Referrals to American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). - Referrals to constituent services from congressional representatives and government agencies. - Advocacy and educations with Lorain Ohio Immigrants Rights Association (LOIRA).

Provides gender-specific group mentoring programs for Hispanic students in 6th through 12th grade. Staff facilitates in-person sessions that cover topics like relationships, goals, health, college/post-secondary opportunities, and more. Provides two groups: ELLOS (Esperanza Latino Leaders for an Outstanding Society) for males and ELLA (Esperanza Latina Leadership Alliance) for females.

Provides support for Hispanic community and advises of current events and services available.

Offers a support group for Hispanic/Latino families with children with special needs. Childcare is provided.

Provides a catered hot meal each weekday, in a Latin/Caribbean/Puerto Rican style modified for seniors.

Provides assistance to families to help them select a school and enroll their child. Helps with completing any paperwork or making contact with the desired school.

Offers a bilingual after school program for students 5-18 years old. Provides learning opportunities that support and reinforce academic and life skills. Activities include tutoring in reading, math, and science, arts and crafts, folk dancing and computer workshops.

Work with the Hispanic and Multi-cultural communities and their families through discussion and collaboration to provide information on options and referrals to Behavioral Health professionals, facilities, and organizations specializing in the client's needs.

Provides annual academic summer camp program for Spanish-speaking children. Camp is hosted in St. Bernard at St. Clement Elementary School.

Provides tutoring for Hispanic/Latino children attending area schools.

Choice pantry. Clients must bring their own bags. Can visit once per month. Includes wrap around services surrounding health and nutrition, economic development, family strengthening and community building.

Offers an educational presentation by community health workers regarding health-conscious shopping, smart food choices and cost-saving strategies in the Latino Community. Provides grocery store tours and cooking demonstrations to increase participants knowledge about the availability and affordability of healthy foods. Offers SNAP application and renewal assistance for eligible participants.

Transports and accompanies clients to medical and administrative appointments (Social Security, utilities, housing, etc.) This service is not for emergencies.

- Has trained volunteers read age appropriate books in both Spanish and English to local children. - Encourages children to respond to readings in the language of their choice.

Offers a Spanish-speaking parenting class. Online options are available. Provides participants an opportunity to earn "Baby Bucks" by attending or participating in classes and prenatal visits. The "Baby Buck" vouchers can be used towards the purchase of diapers, formula and other baby items.

Offers a program for youth during the summer vacation months. Participants are given the opportunity to explore various activities, take field trips and continue educational development.

Accompanies immigrants to medical and dental appoinments, assisting with translation and transportation.

A free family practice clinic with services in Spanish. The clinic is staffed by medical students and physician volunteers. All services are free and include comprehensive family medicine care, diabetes management, women's gynecology, rotating specialty care, and on-site lab draws. We do not offer services in obstetrics or dental care at this time.

Provides financial assistance for emergency needs, including medical, housing, legal aid, or other material needs.

Provides a list of available rental units, assistance in helping those with specific housing needs, such as multiple bedrooms and specific locations, locate available housing, mediate between landlords and tenants, and assist with housing discrimination cases. Also provides reviews of leases and their conditions prior to the signing of the lease. Agency provides housing counselors certified by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Advises the Governor, the Ohio General Assembly, and state government agencies on all matters affecting Hispanic Ohioans. Connects the diverse Latino communities across the State of Ohio by serving as a hub of information for and about Hispanic Ohioans. Builds the capacity of Latino community organizations, especially those of, for, and by Hispanic Ohioans, by applying for and accepting grants in partnership with organizations, subcontracting programs to local groups, and conducting education programs to enhance and strengthen community organization staff and leadership.
