Services include: assistance to deaf individuals who need help understanding and managing tasks that require English, such as bills, letters and phone calls, working with bureaucratic entities such as HUD and OJS, and appointments (e.g. with a doctor); basic adult education groups to improve daily living skills such as managing money, health equity, navigating transportation, and making effective use of technology; vocational assistance to those who would like help finding employment; social events to communicate with one another prevent isolation; and workshops open to deaf and hard of hearing and family and friends on issues of importance to the deaf community.
