The Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio provides a variety of information, education, support and assistance to individuals with Down syndrome and their families in 25 Ohio counties, including Athens, Coshocton, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Knox, Lawrence, Licking, Madison, Marion, Meigs, Morgan, Morrow, Muskingum, Perry, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Union, and Vinton. Please note that the services, programming and supports are not exclusive to the 25 counties highlighted.

Offers several community programs to promote awareness and support of Down Syndrome. Programs include activities and programs for children and adults with Down Syndrome, programs and events for family members of those with Down Syndrome, education for the medical and educational communities, and community information sessions.

Offers several different groups to provide support and information to families and individuals with Down Syndrome. Groups include the Little Buddies (infant-3 years old), 3-6 year old group, several county support groups, Teens and Adult group, Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome and the Support Our Siblings group.

Provides information to parents, relatives, etc. regarding Down Syndrome. Works to enrich the lives of all individuals with Down Syndrome. Increase public awareness of individuals with Down syndrome regarding their desires, and abilities.

Provides information about community agencies and organizations that offer specialized services and advocacy for people with down syndrome and their families.

Works to improve the quality of life for people with Down Syndrome. Services include: helping families adjust to the birth of a special child; informational services to parents; increasing public awareness about Down Syndrome; providing speakers for professional classes and other organizations.

Offers support and information for parents, guardians, and families of persons of any age with Down Syndrome and other related disabilities.

Provides support and education for families who have children with Down syndrome.
