The Extension Committee will work with farmers to: *Assess needs, plan, develop, implement and evaluate a well balanced educational program in agriculture and natural resources. Issues focusing on the economy, environment, and leadership are the focus of educational programming. *Serves as a source of agriculture and natural resource subject matter for the residents of Champaign County. Major efforts in the following subject matter areas: farm management/grain marketing education and agronomic crop education. *Utilize mass media in promoting and conducting educational programming. *Maintain close cooperation with county, district and state extension personnel to develop, teach and evaluate well-balanced educational programs. *Cooperate with other related organizations and groups in the county in assessing and conducting educational programming. *Utilize advisory committees to provide input for program development, planning and evaluation.
