Encourages cooperation among local, state and national agencies serving the community. Assists organizations in developing new ways to meet the needs of people with problems. Raises funds for member agencies in Miami County.

Develops financial resources for human services through an annual campaign and other programs such as planned giving, United Way at work, Combined Federal Campaign, and year round communications about United Way services and community needs.

Allows employees to donate to any of the more than 60 members charities through paycheck contributions. Employees are able to select the specific charity(ies) they wish to support through the campaigns.

A trained grants librarian collects and maintains the most current and comprehensive reference collection on grants. Materials are available for use in the library to assist the public in locating appropriate funding sources and preparing grant proposals. Orientation sessions held on a regular basis.

Offers a regional collaborative effort to encourage people from all walks of life to make a bequest or planned gift to their favorite charitable or nonprofit organization. Works hand in hand with charitable or nonprofit groups including social service and arts organizations, churches, hospitals, educational institutions and other philanthropic groups to encourage this activity.
