Works to improve the quality of life for people with Down Syndrome. Services include: helping families adjust to the birth of a special child; informational services to parents; increasing public awareness about Down Syndrome; providing speakers for professional classes and other organizations.

Provides educational services related to sexual abstinance. Includes a 5-day curriculum course for schools and a speaker’s bureau offering multimedia presentations.

Provides presentations on a wide range of emergency response and disaster preparedness topics.

Provides supplemental food card that includes staple foods, fruits and vegetables; nutrition education; breastfeeding education; support and counseling; and referral services to eligible women and children. During the summer also provides a one-time $30 supplemental voucher to a limited number of participants for fruits and vegetables from selected local growers (Farmers' Market Nutrition Program), available while supplies last. Also offers speakers who discuss the program and the value of good nutrition.

Offers outreach, education and awareness programs for all audiences to learn about human trafficking. Provides specialized training and technical assistance for human trafficking service providers. Convenes and manages NE Ohio's Anti-trafficking coalition. Provides referrals and resources for providers and victims of human trafficking.

Provides group tours for teachers, students, bankers, business/professional associations, and community organizations. Also has a speaker's bureau available to talk to adult groups of 20 or more.

Offers speakers to deal with topics related to animal welfare and humane treatment, with a focus on enhanced empathy and responsibility toward animals. Will visit schools and civic groups to discuss pet care, bite prevention, and a variety of other topics.

Provides speakers on topics relating to starting, growing, running, and exiting a small business. Topics may include how to start a small business, securing financing, preparing a business plan, marketing, customer service, sales planning, and finance.

Provides information sessions and workshops at various community locations, as well as speakers and presentations to groups and organizations. Topics include watershed awareness, rain garden creation, water quality, non point source pollution, storm water pollution and management, and erosion and sediment control regulations. Provides brochures, fact sheets, a newsletter (On the Land), and an e-news letter to inform the public on these issues.

Provides assistance with food, shelter (rent or mortgage), utility bills (gas and electric), principle car payments, and other needed services for veterans, active duty military, and dependent survivors. In some cases, may assist with indigent burial. Assistance is in the form of vouchers. Amount of assistance is based on demonstrated need. Also available to make community presentations about these services.

Schedules a physician to speak at a local site on any number of wellness or health-care related topics.

Seeks to teach youth their rights and responsibilities as an employee and how to avoid and deal with discrimination in the workplace, as well as promote awareness of federal anti-discrimination laws. Offers a website, holds outreach events, provides speakers for community groups and schools, and works with businesses and community leaders.

Program addresses life-threatening medical conditions associated with eating disorders that affect people from all socioeconomic levels.

Gives presentations to interested groups about discrimination issues and discrimination law. Provides brochures and other printed information about discrimination issues. Attends community events such as job and school fairs.

Opportunities include serving as receptionist, teaching, coordinating classes, planning special events, setting up tables and chairs, serving on committees, working in garden centers, transporting isolated senior to personal appointments, baking for special sales, and working in the library .

Provides speakers on health insurance topics relevant to seniors. Topics may include, but not limited to, Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, long-term care insurance, Medicaid, other health insurance, accessing health insurance benefits, and Medicare prescription drug programs.

Provides consultation, training and presentations to schools and community organizations. Topics focus on treatment, prevention and health promotion issues.
