Protects community health by providing anonymous and confidential HIV testing (OraSure/Oraquick) and counseling, and encouraging behavioral changes that reduce the risk of AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases and tuberculosis. Services offered include outreach, pre and post-test counseling, counseling, referrals, information and condom distribution.

Works to improve the quality of life for people with Down Syndrome. Services include: helping families adjust to the birth of a special child; informational services to parents; increasing public awareness about Down Syndrome; providing speakers for professional classes and other organizations.

Offers youth courses that include babysitting education. Provides health & safety training for adults in the workplace, church, school or civic group and individuals. Topics included CPR, AED (defibrillator), first aid as well as blood borne pathogens. Choose from pre-scheduled classed or groups of 8 or more schedule their own time.

Provides a variety of services to help in preventing or dealing with domestic violence issues for families in the Hispanic community. Will provide accompaniment to court appearances for women who are victims as well as accompanying women to police stations when filing domestic violence police reports. Provides immigration-related help when appropriate. Provides individual counseling for women and their children. Provides a support group for Hispanic women with domestic violence issues. Support group provides a meal and child care during the meeting. Will do speaking engagements about the issues and does issue outreach to this community during events.

Education and outreach to Amish families includes information about of the importance of testing newborn children, consistent medical treatment of children, dietary requirements, etc. Research is done on metabolic and genetic disorders, and the findings are shared with medical professionals and other researchers. Special attention is paid to diseases prevalent in the Amish community. Speakers are available for any civic, church, community, or professional groups, and a newsletter is published twice a year.

Offers various natural areas and reserves, many of which are open to the public. Nature Center is home to live animals and environmental displays. Providers of environmental awareness programs, as well as educational programs and public events.

Facilitates the federally mandated Cuyahoga Regional HIV Services Planning Council, which determines community HIV health care needs, service priorities, and service funding allocations. Produces a Community Resource Guide listing medical, dental, and social service resources available to those living with HIV/AIDS in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina Counties.

Offers counseling to help seniors cope with life-style changes, personal, marital, and family problems. Assist with forms completion and maintains a registry of chore service providers.
