Maintains a collection of books and other materials focusing on all aspects of municipal government and services. Covers a wide range of public administration topics with an emphasis on city laws. Topics include zoning, adaptive reuse, community development and economic development.

Provides an extensive library of psychoanalytic literature, including over 6,000 books and bound volumes of professional periodicals. Special collections include books on applied psychoanalysis, and classic texts. The library is open to the public; borrowing privileges available to members and students enrolled at the Center.

By statute, the Law Library provides a professional legal collection for judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and county officials, as well as assistance to the general public. Reference Services Policy: The Law Librarian will assist users in the location of information and materials needed to support legal research and offer instruction in the use of these tools. Reference service does not include performing research for the user or the offering of legal advice or opinions. The Law Librarian may offer library services to assist legal professionals in their research efforts, but they are not authorized to give legal advice or practice law. The user will remain the person solely responsible for the quality and quantity of the research regardless of the amount of assistance provided. Likewise, the user is solely responsible for any advice, counsel and conduct with respect to his or her client(s).

Provides advocacy and support to the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered) community. Offers resource material, such as brochures and other printed materials on topics such as health and wellness concerns and coming out/questioning issues. Also provides a mechanism to record hate crimes that have occurred in the service area as well as providing support, information, and referrals to appropriate services for victims of hate crimes. Supports the passage and enforcement of laws and other social measures that protect and promote the rights and interests of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender individuals, cross-dressers, and people who are in the process of coming out or who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Provides a reference library of materials pertaining to occupational health and safety in the work place open to employers and other professionals as well as the public.

Provides information and referral to cancer-related and other resources. Counselors can assist with finding information on local resources as well as provide emotional support. Also offers a physical library that houses books, pamphlets, DVDs and other materials related to cancer.

Operates a circulating library for information on cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Offers books, journals, videos, and audio-cassettes. Also provides free information pamphlets and brochures for patrons to keep.

Provides a law and legal research library. The collection includes 365,000 volumes and volume equivalents, federal documents, legal records, law journals and magazines. Also provides links to numerous related electronic resources. Most of the collection does not circulate, but copies can be made/obtained.

Provides a law library. Offers federal government documents selective depository. Does not provide legal advice but will guide individuals to specific materials related to their legal issue - will not review paperwork.

Provides a library featuring books, periodicals, and audiovisual materials on the subject of gardening, botany, horticulture, nature study, conservation, and environmental issues. Offers materials that detail the educational aspects of these subjects with an emphasis on elementary grade curricula for school teachers. Also features a collection of rare books.

Houses an archive of print, audio, visual and digital media relating to the musical, cultural and financial history of rock and roll. Collection includes a variety of books, posters, newspaper clippings, personal letters, financial records, CDs and DVDs. All materials are non-circulating.

Provides a center; that contains Bach-related manuscripts and first editions. Publishes an international Bach journal. Facilities include a research library, a vault, staff offices, and a listening room.

Offers a cancer education center and lending library of books, CDs, and DVDs. Medical librarian provides technical assistance on gathering information about cancer via the Internet.

Provides a health resource center open to the public. Holdings include a video resource library, printed health related materials and a database of community service contacts.

Provides information on specific diseases or conditions affecting youth. Offers a lending library of over 1,500 health books and audiovisual materials. Provides internet health information sources. Offers Health Education Lesson Plan Kits for school and community presentations.

Provides the largest American history research center in northern Ohio. Holdings consist of 235,000 books, 25,000 volumes of newspapers, 30,500 rolls of microfilm, 1,000,000 prints and photographs. and more than 3000 collections of manuscripts and archives. The focus of the library is on the growth and development of Cleveland and that portion of northern Ohio once known as the Connecticut Western Reserve. Maintains ethnically specific genealogies and archives as well. Provides periodic genealogy classes.

The Local History Library houses information on family history and historical documents from the Miami County area. The research library features books, maps, manuscripts, wills, land records, etc. An extensive microfilm/fiche catalog includes county marriage records, census, birth, death, and many other records.

Provides one of the few professional social work libraries run by a school of Social Work; the focus is academic and research based. The 35,000 volume collection includes books, professional journals, social work abstracts, agency files, periodicals and a variety of media materials. Although it is primarily for use by the University community, it is open to the larger social work community and other interested community members who may get a limited borrower's card.

Career counselors provide guidance in career decision-making through assessment testing, volunteering, informational interviewing, job shadowing, or temporary work. Counselors assist with creating a plan. Offers computers for job-related searches and helps proofread resumes.

Maintains and provides access to various historical records of Cuyahoga County. Includes records such as local government records, birth and death records prior to 1909, land use records and plat maps, past real estate appraisal cards, marriage records, old dog licenses, and old area directories. Provides a comprehensive music library.

Provides a specialized library of over 60,000 volumes focusing on the natural sciences. The library currently receives 650 different titles of periodicals through subscriptions, gifts and inter-institutional exchanges. Also has a large collection of maps, reprint and pamphlet files, slides and audio materials, and some extremely rare book collections of Audubon, Gould, Curtis and North-American Indians. In addition, houses archival records about the Museum, professional papers, and special collections about people/events associated with the Museum.

Operates the world's largest biomedical library. Collects materials and provides information and research services in all areas of biomedicine and health care.

Provides an art museum library that includes a book collection, a comprehensive image library and photographic and museum archives. Materials are not available for loan.
