Provides a search tool for finding the contact information for 2-1-1's across the United States. This website is useful in situations where a client has already tried calling 2-1-1 but their call has been mis-routed to somewhere other than their local 2-1-1. The website will provide an alternate 10-digit number that the client can call to be directly connected to their local 2-1-1. Not all areas in the United States are served by a 2-1-1 so it is possible that some searches will return no results. 2-1-1 is a free telephone number which provides access to local community services. It is available in multiple languages. It allows those in need to access information and obtain referrals to a variety of services such as physical and mental health resources; housing, utility, food, and employment assistance; and suicide and crisis interventions.
Volunteers refer individuals who need assistance to appropriate agencies. Help facilitate short term financial assistance for housing, utilities and other basic needs.
