Discount home improvement store that accepts and re-sells new and reusable home improvement building materials. The store is open to the public and revenue from sales directly offsets the administrative costs of Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio. Individuals, stores, businesses, general contractors, home remodeling contractors, and others regularly donate new and reusable materials from home remodeling projects, new overstock inventory, samples, scratch and dent items. Also removes and salvages materials from buildings being demolished. Materials are sold to the public at approximately 50% off retail prices.

Habitat's Restore Donation Program | Habitat For Humanity International

Accepts donations of almost any items you take out of your home. Especially needed are doors, windows, cabinets (kitchen or other) and working appliances ( 10 years or less). But any building or remodeling material that's in good shape can be recycled through the ReStore, saving you dumping costs and providing a tax deduction as well. Equally important, your donations will go back into the community to help people who are upgrading their homes. The ReStore resells your new or used items (as well as corporate donations) for 50% to 70% off retail prices. All operating profits from ReStore sales go into Habitat's building program, helping provide adequate housing for Mount Vernon families. ReStore does provide donation pickup services once a week when scheduled in advance. Please contact our office for more information. Items we cannot accept: - Stained, torn, or damaged furniture - Non-working or damaged appliances - Baby beds or car seats - Old TVs (Cathode Ray Tube, Projection, Console) - Clothes - Faucets not labeled as lead-free - Stained or damaged bedding - Outdated electronics/computers - Half cans or frozen paint - Exercise Equipment (except weight benches, treadmills, and ellipticals) - Acoustic Pianos and organs (Some electric pianos acceptable) - H2O Tanks more than 6 years old .
