The Public Works Department includes the Forestry Division, Street Maintenance Division, and Traffic Control. The Utilities Department includes Sewer Maintenance Division, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Distribution Division, and the Water Treatment Plant. Services provided are snow removal, street sweeping, leaf pickup, removal of dead animals (in the street), pothole repair, tree planting and removal (area between curb and sidewalk only), street lights and street signs, and catch basin clean outs.

Provides business and residential drop-off recycling services. Drop-off stations accept cardboard, paper, plastics #1 & # 2, bottle glass, and tin/aluminum cans.

Maintains post-disaster monetary fund to provide financial assistance to low income households towards repairing and/or replacing damaged carpet, furniture, hot water tanks, electric boxes, and so forth.

Provides disaster clean-up kits for residents whose homes have been affected by flooding.

Emergency disaster mobile canteens respond to local emergencies and calls from fire, police, disaster, civil defense and other groups.
