Provides financial assistance to eligible individuals and households affected by a disaster. Households may receive funding if they have serious needs and expenses that are related to lack of or inadequate insurance. Assistance may include funds for temporary housing, repair or replacement of homes, hazard mitigation assistance, etc.
Provides monetary grants to eligible family members of frontline healthcare workers, healthcare volunteers and healthcare support staff who have lost their lives because of COVID-19. Grants are available in 2 phases. Phase 1 grants are for the healthcare worker's funeral expenses. Phase 2 grants are for long-term expenses, such as food, housing, childcare or education expenses.
Offers one-time disaster cash assistance for Franklin County residents who have suffered damage to their homes or the loss of certain household items due to a state declared, natural disaster or personal disaster verified by the American Red Cross. Payments can be up to $750 per family and $500 for the elderly or those with disabilities.

Congressional lawmakers put the finishing touches on a $2 trillion stimulus bill to respond to the coronavirus pandemic, with cash and assistance for regular Americans, Main Street businesses and hard-hit airlines and manufacturers, among others. Under the plan as it was being negotiated, single Americans would receive $1,200, married couples would get $2,400 and parents would see $500 for each child under age 17. However, the payments would start to phase out for individuals with adjusted gross incomes of more than $75,000, and those making more than $99,000 would not qualify at all. The thresholds are doubled for couples.
UWGMN is providing asisstance to individuals and families affected by COVID-19. The Relief Application is for mini grants, most being under $500.
Logan County households impacted by the March 14 tornado are invited to apply for financial assistance through United Way's Indian Lake Tornado Relief Fund. Intake will occur by appointment only at the MARC in Russells Point.
