Provides emotional support and resources following a large-scale traumatic incident to help those affected to deal with confusion and emotional suffering. Provides a team of mental health professionals who can make themselves available to Lake County schools, companies or any other organizational system that experiences a crisis situation, such as a suicide, assault, large-scale accident, or other tragedy.

Provides heated or a cooled place for people during power outages and/or when the weather is very cold or hot.

Provides replacement funds to Food Assistance/Food Stamp recipients who have lost food due to a power outage, fire or governor declared emergency. Replacement funds may replace up to, but not exceed, the client's monthly allotment of food assistance. Funds are sent by electronic transfer to the recipient's Ohio Direction Card.

Provides an air-conditioned location for those in need of shelter in times of extremely hot weather, particularly when temperatures reach 90 degrees.

Health services include the following programs: physical fitness classes; fitness gym; monthly blood pressure; annual health fair.

Offers immediate assistance for victims of disaster (such as fire, flood, weather) who have no other resources. Mainly helps with immediate needs and generally only during the first few days or weeks following a disaster. Provides assistance such as temporary shelter (usually up to three days), food, clothing, crisis counseling, and possibly one month's rent or security deposit. Flooding must affect the main living areas and not just the basement. Does not provide help for secondary related problems such as flooding from sewer backup, does not offer replacement/repair of items such as furniture, appliances or a furnace and does not provide food replacement or other assistance needed due to power outages. Does not assist those forced out of their home due to a Carbon Monoxide issue, unless forced out in the middle of the night and in immediate danger, then will try to assist. Provides cleaning kits (mop and bleach) to victims of flooding.

Provides a shelter during extremely cold weather, below zero.

Provides loan of books, magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, and other audio-visual materials.

Provides replacement funds to SNAP (food stamp) recipients who have lost food due to a power outage of four (4) hours or more, fire or governor declared emergency. Replacement funds may replace up to (but not exceed) the client's monthly allotment of food assistance. Funds are sent by electronic transfer to the recipient's Ohio Direction Card.

Allows persons who are homeless to utilize Saint Elizabeth Center for day shelter. Provides access to peruse the information that is available on various community resources. Offers one-on-one assistance with a staff member to connect the individual with a variety of community resources. Also functions as a warming center when temperatures are cold or cooling center when temperatures are 95 degrees and higher).

Provide bottled water or other sources of drinking water for people whose access has been interrupted by a ruptured water main, water purification plant problems, contaminated wells or other disruptions in the water supply.

Disaster relief services for individuals and families who have faced disaster related issues.

Provides public information in the event of a disaster.

Provides cooling area during extreme heat advisories.

Provides temporary daytime access to heated facilities during times of extreme cold.

Provides heated or a cooled place for people during power outages and/or when the weather is very cold or hot.

Offers a warming center during normal business hours for a brief interval during cold weather emergencies.

Provides an overnight warming center during extremely cold weather. No beds available.

Provides guidance and interaction, recreation, socialization, the arts, field trips and events.

Provides a drop-in center. Offers breakfast, hot lunch, showers (including towels and hygiene items), a mailing address, and opportunities for socialization. Offers a warming center during cold weather. Clothing may be available. Meals may be served as packed, to-go boxes that may be picked up at the door.

Provides daytime access to a heated facility during times of extreme cold for people who are temporarily at risk for exposure. Provides dry clothing, food and coffee, water, bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, books, and socialization.

Any person or family needing immediate assistance with recovery after a house fire, flood, tornado, or other disaster may receive services from Red Cross volunteers. Volunteers will help coordinate assistance with basic human needs like food, clothing, and shelter.

When one or more households within the state experience a misfortune (such as fire, flooding or a power outage) that lasts four or more hours and results in loss of food, replacement food assistance benefits can be issued to food assistance recipients. The replacement benefits can be used to purchase the same eligible food items as regular food assistance benefits.
