Delaware County EMA implements mitigation projects and planning to reduce the effects of disaster in Delaware Co.

Provides emergency management services for areas where the city or state has made a public declaration. Services provided depend on the situation. Coordinates training and drill exercises for various response agencies. Provides county wide coordination of disaster and recovery efforts between government agencies and non-profits. Plans, coordinates and provides services for disaster preparation, response and recovery. Provides various trainings to organizations and individuals to prepare for disasier.

Strives to minimize the impact on the environment from accidental releases, spills, and unauthorized discharges from any fixed or mobile sources, takes action on incidents involving petroleum products, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, abandoned drums, or other materials which may pose as a pollution threat to the state’s water, land, or air

Responds to incidents involving fire or hazardous materials and provides emergency medical services and rescues when appropriate. Also provides public education and fire inspections to increase community awareness of fire safety and accident prevention.

Offers insurance policies that can cover buildings, the contents in a building, or both from losses directly caused by flooding.

Union County EMA provides education and training for the general public on how to mitigate and prepare for potential emergencies and disasters.

Responsible for disaster mitigation, coordinates the Countywide Mitigation Plan, and provides access to Mitigation Grant information.

The Shelby County Emergency Management Agency leads and supports the county in disaster mitigation.

Integrates hazard mitigation principles in a variety of ways to make Ohio communities more sustainable and citizens more resilient in the face of future disaster events. Provides projects and planning efforts to reduce the cost of damage caused by disasters, and minimize the impact on citizens, businesses, and properties. Maintains the State's All Hazard Mitigation Plan and coordinates the State Hazard Mitigation Team (SHMT). Responsible for implementing FEMA's hazard mitigation programs and assists Ohio communities in their mitigation planning efforts.

The Morrow County Emergency Management Agency promotes disaster preparedness and mitigation and develops response and recovery programs.

Responsible for the control and extinction of fires in urban or wilderness areas; the inspection of buildings and hillside property to ensure potential fire hazards; and the maintenance of equipment and trained firefighters necessary for a quick and efficient response to fires when they occur.

Provides disaster preparedness information including printed guides and other materials. Topics covered include, but not limited to, floods and flood insurance, chemical leaks/spills, dam failure, earthquakes, hazardous materials, heat, hurricanes, nuclear power plan emergencies, terrorism, tornadoes, wildfire, winter storms, and general disasters. Offers flood maps and handles requests for map changes. Also provides information about the flood risk of a property. Also offers resources for teachers and parents.

The Mercer County Emergency Management Agency leads and supports the county in disaster mitigation.

Coordinates planning, response, recovery, and mitigation related to any disaster occurring in Allen County. Maintains the county's haz-mat and decontamination team as well as the county's Emergency Operation Center (EOC), urban search and rescue team, and regional bomb squad. Establishes and updates the county's Emergency Operations Plan and coordinates training exercises for various response agencies.

Seeks to reduce flood risk by adopting and enforcing floodplain management ordinances and identifying and mapping the nation's floodplains. Provides communities with strategies to reduce flood risk. Offers federally backed flood insurance through licensed insurance agents in participating communities.
