Serves as a countywide agency to oversee the planning, response, recovery, mitigation, and coordination of all efforts utilized in major emergencies / disasters.. Also serves as the coordinating agency and public information arm of the Local Emergency Planning Committee (L.E.P.C.) which maintains, updates, and coordinates laws, records, and training exercises dealing with the storage, manufacture, and transportation of hazardous materials in our community.

Responsible for planning, mitigation, response and recovery of any large-scale emergencies or disasters in Williams County. In the event of any large-scale emergency or disaster, the EMA will open an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) within their facility. Officials from village, township, county and state agencies will convene to direct operations at the EOC.
