Provides improvement, and maintenance of all public works, buildings, grounds, parks, roads, streets, and all other public places in Olmsted Falls. Responsible for the collection and disposal of dead animals and wastes, snow plowing and salting of local streets. Wood chips are also available to residents. Provides maintenance and repairs for the City of Olmsted Falls' sewer lines. In case of basement flooding, will help resident determine if blockage or break is in the main sewer line (for example, the storm sewer in the street) or on private property (from the curb to the house). Can only address issues with publicly owned sewer line. The sewer line from the curb to the house is the homeowners' responsibility.

Local government branch that implements county wide solid waste management plans such as drop off and curbside recycling.

Coordinates trash collection and large item pick-up and provides curb side recycling for the Village of Brooklyn Heights. Will pick up trash from the yard (instead of curb) for older adults and disabled persons.

Provides a refuse collection program for the City of Akron that picks up and disposes of regular household and commercial waste and garbage. Offers a community-sponsored voluntary programs that encourage residents to recycle reusable resources. Offer their services at below normal rates for individuals with disability and older adults who are eligible for the Homestead Exception program. Seniors and people with disabilities can call 3-1-1 to request assistance taking trash out to curb.

Provide programs and services to residents that include household hazardous waste collection, scrap tire collection, appliance recycling, and recycling drop-off sites.

Provides waste disposal services, including a voluntary recycling program.

Provides trash collection and recycling pick-up services for all residential, commercial or industrial properties in Medina City. Provides roll-off containers when requested.

Provides a collection center for Copley residents and businesses to properly recycle clean paper, cardboard, aseptic containers (the waxy coated cartons such as from orange juice. milk, half and half), steel/aluminum cans, glass bottles and jars (clear, green or brown only) and plastics #1-2 (larger than 2" X 2").

Operates a yard waste composting facility at Cairns Road, Mansfield, across from the old Richland County Landfill. Accepts: brush, Christmas trees, shrubs, grass, leaves, trees limbs, and wood chips. No yard waste materials will be accepted greater than six inches in diameter. Materials will be accepted loose, in bulk or in paper bags. Any plastic or ties of any kinds must be removed and taken by resident. Call for disposal rates and compost for sale prices. Offers free Christmas tree recycling for all Richland County residents. All ornaments and tinsel need to be removed from the tree and drop off will be at any of the Richland County Solid Waste Authority’s Recycling Drop Off Box locations or outside the fence at the Yard Waste Facility located at 441 Cairns Road in Mansfield. Accepts donations of used computers. Donations are either recycled or sold in the agency's retail stores.

Contracts with a private company that provides weekly residential waste and trash pickup, as well as scheduled large/bulk item pickup. The East Cleveland Service Department provides weekly pickup of recycling.

Maintains streets, signs and signals in the Mansfield City limits. Applies snow/ice control as necessary to maintain more than 600 lane miles of streets and alleys in the city limits. Clear brush out of alley right-of-ways, trim or remove dead, dying, deceased, or hazard trees on city right-of-ways. Plant trees at request of Shade Tree Commission. Make necessary asphalt patch repairs, crack seal streets, monitor street opening permits from Codes & Permits, patch Water and Sewer street openings. Maintains signs in city limits. Inventory, repair, replace, and install signs. Paint centerlines and skip lines on streets in city limits, also paint turn arrows, crosswalks, and school zones. Maintain traffic signals, annual signal inspection and relamping, downtown street light maintenance. City does not maintain residential street lights, that is Ohio Edison. Picks up dead animals in the city limits that are in the street, not on private property. Clean up debris in the street. Maintain State Routes in the city limits. Mow State Route fields and islands, in the city limits, city right-of-ways, road sides, and guard rails. Water and Sewer maintenance is in the same building.

Oversees various Divisions that deal with City infrastructure and public services; operates residential garbage collection program for Youngstown; remove dead animals on streets or at the curb.

Provides recycling opportunities to the community, while teaching all ages how and why to recycle and care for the community. Drop off program offers recycling trailers at 26 locations.
