Provides and administers the Community Development Block Grants. Works with the intent of assisting persons of low and moderate income, (regardless of their financial means) to live in a decent, safe, and sanitary environment by eliminating urban blight and detrimental living conditions.
Provides funding for home rehabilitation. Common examples of housing services we have assisted with in the past: roofing and gutters, porches and stairs, water heaters, furnaces, exterior doors, and electric upgrades. The financial limit for an emergency rehab project is $22,500.
