Richland County Historical Society

Primary purpose is to preserve, share, and advance the knowledge of the history of Richland County; to advocate when necessary for the preservation of threatened historically significant resources; and to secure the safe management and protection of resources that come under its jurisdiction guided by national standards and best practices.
Meetings provide programs which are of interest to local history buffs. Meets at Oak Hill Cottage Carriage House, 348 Oak Hill Place.

The Society publishes the Journal of Northwest Ohio and books on Maumee Valley's history and maintains a 4,000-volume historical library housed at the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library's local history department.
