Provides medical stabilization services for people with alcohol withdrawl symptoms. The service provides inpatient care and observation, usually 3-5 days. Discharge planning includes referrals to the appropriate community based treatment programs. Client may be placed on a wait list, only limited number of beds available.
Topics include addiction, recovery, and treatment, how the recovery process affects current and future family relationships, triggers and cravings, stages of family recovery, communication traps, setting boundaries, and rebuilding trust.
